Description: Yugoslavian artist Marina Abramovich calls herself *quot;the grandmother of performance*quot;. And she has every reason for that. Today, in this form of contemporary art, she, perhaps, has no equal, and for the first time she attracted the attention of the art community back in 1974.
A documentary by Matthew Akers about Marina's preparations for her retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (which became the largest performance in the history of MoMA). Its visitors could not only see, but also personally take part in the reconstruction of the artist's most iconic and provocative performances, one of which lasted 736.5 hours (everyone could look Abramovich directly in the eyes for 30 minutes, which led to the most unpredictable consequences). Few will be able to repeat what Marina is capable of. But those who succeed will understand what it means not only to be present, but also to be here and now.
